Busy January!

Since Banner's birthday, her team has had 3 more games. They are 2-2 so far.

This girl was about a foot taller than Banner but she did her best to guard her.

We had to go to Las Vegas this weekend to pick up a vehicle for Jim's boss. We dropped the girls at Miranda and Brooks house and then traveled south for a delicious seafood buffet and overnight stay at the Rio. On our way back north we stopped at Best Buy in St. George to buy a computer for the ranch. Guess what we found? Wii Fit! The girls have been working out since we got home.

Tennyson's yoga pose.

Banner's key to good health and fitness is hydration.

I went to Salt Lake on Wednesday for my Handiquilter training. Amazingly, I was the most experienced in the class. One woman has had her HQ Sixteen since Christmas and the other is still waiting for hers. Since I got mine in October I was an old pro(not). These pictures are of two of the three baby quilts that I have done the past week. They are all gifts for boy babies that will be arriving this spring.

Click on the pictures for a closer view.

I learned to do these cute flowers.

Not finished yet but you get the idea.

A close up of the back of the pastel quilt pictured. This one is for Jim's neice Katrina, who is expecting her first baby the last week in April.

This is a picture of my free gift for attending the quilting class. It is called a "Zippy" and I can snap my scissors on it(or anything else) and then clip it on my shirt. It has a line in it that extends and then retracts. My scissors were never out of reach while I was working on the quilts. Handy, Dandy, I love it.

We got a wii fit for christmas and I have enjoyed it. The quilts look good. I need to get some put together so that I can have them with me when I come down next time. Aren't you glad winter is going so fast?

Your quilts do look good! I am very impressed and can't wait to take a class from you. Kelsie and her friend Erika are making quilts for a pp project.

cute quilts. I was just thinking about what I want to do for Morgan's new little one. Something girlie and Springy I suppose. I am looking forward to it. Then I will be planning a trip down. Maybe I can make it coincide with an Easter trip.

The quilts look great, I love the little flowers. I will have to try those on my next quilt. I wish I had more time to throw one together. And congrats on being the head of your class. What an accomplishment..:) I bet the Zippy really does come in handy. It seemed like I was always looking for where I had placed the scissors. Enjoy the Wii fit, I thought it was fun trying it at Mom and Dad's.
